This study tested storing donor lungs at a cooler temperature (10°C) to allow transplant surgeries to be done during daytime hours instead of overnight. 45 people received lungs stored this way, and researchers checked how many had severe lung problems within 72 hours. The goal was to see if this storage method is safe and could lead to better outcomes.
