Summary
This study tests whether lungs from donors with hepatitis B can be safely transplanted into people who do not have the virus. The lungs are treated with a special machine (EVLP) and UV light to kill the virus, and recipients take antiviral drugs. The goal is to see if this approach prevents infection in the 20 participants over 6 months.
