Sarcoma lung surveillance study halted: x-ray vs. CT question remains unanswered
NCT ID NCT01612481
First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at the best way to monitor the lungs of people who had surgery for a high-grade soft tissue sarcoma. The goal was to see if a simple chest X-ray or a more detailed CT scan was better at finding lung cancer spread early. Only 11 people took part before the study was stopped, so it did not provide clear answers.
