Breathing breakthrough? rehab may help ICU patients on oxygen get stronger, go home sooner
NCT ID NCT04441151
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a special lung rehabilitation program helps patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) who are on high-flow oxygen therapy. Researchers will compare 70 patients who receive the rehab exercises to those who get standard medical care alone. They will measure if rehab improves breathing, muscle strength, and daily activity levels, and helps patients get out of bed and leave the hospital faster.
