First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study explores whether a non-invasive lung recruitment maneuver can predict if a child under general anesthesia will respond to intravenous fluids. Researchers aim to help anesthesiologists give the right treatment for low blood pressure and avoid unnecessary fluid administration. The study will enroll 48 children undergoing surgery at Boston Children's Hospital.
