Scientists hunt for protein clues in lungs to unlock pneumonia mysteries

NCT ID NCT00077909

Summary

This study aims to discover protein patterns in lung fluid that could help identify specific types of pneumonia. Researchers will analyze fluid collected from 750 patients undergoing standard lung examination procedures. The goal is to find biological markers that distinguish between different causes of lung inflammation, which could eventually guide more targeted treatments.
