First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests a new MRI technique that uses a special gas (129Xe) to take detailed pictures of lung function. It includes up to 445 healthy volunteers and people with interstitial lung disease. The goal is to see if this method can safely and clearly show how well the lungs move air and exchange gas, which could help doctors better understand and monitor lung conditions.
