Scientists scan lungs to see Vaping's hidden damage
NCT ID NCT03721822
Summary
This study aims to understand if e-cigarettes cause lung inflammation similar to traditional cigarettes. Researchers will use a special PET/CT scan with an experimental tracer to measure inflammation in the lungs of 100 participants, including vapers, smokers, and non-smokers. The study will compare scan results with blood tests to learn how vaping affects lung health.
