Scientists scan lungs to see vaping damage

NCT ID NCT03721822

Summary

This study aims to measure and compare lung inflammation in different groups of people using a special imaging scan. Researchers will use an experimental radioactive tracer during a PET/CT scan to see if there are differences in lung inflammation between e-cigarette users, traditional cigarette smokers, and non-smokers. The study will also look at blood markers and brain inflammation to understand the full picture of how these habits affect the body.
