Summary

This study looked at how certain genes might change the way lung cells (macrophages) work when exposed to environmental pollutants. Twenty healthy adults gave blood and lung cell samples through a procedure called bronchoscopy. The goal was to understand, not to treat, so no new therapies were tested.
