New imaging method could speed up lung biopsy analysis

Summary
This study is testing a new imaging method called full-field optical coherence tomography (FFOCT) on small lung biopsy samples. The goal is to see if FFOCT can give the same information as the standard lab analysis, but faster. About 20 adults with lung cancer or sarcoidosis who are already scheduled for a bronchoscopy will take part. The study does not change their treatment; it only adds an extra imaging step on the biopsy samples.
