New lung fluid test aims to pinpoint Hard-to-Diagnose diseases
NCT ID NCT07208201
Summary
This study aims to see if analyzing fluid from patients' lungs can help doctors better diagnose specific types of interstitial lung disease (ILD), a group of conditions that cause lung scarring. Researchers will collect lung fluid from 66 adults with suspected ILD during a standard bronchoscopy procedure. They will compare two lab methods to see which provides clearer information about the type of inflammation present, which could lead to more accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
