Blood test could spot hidden lung cancer cells before they return

NCT ID NCT04966663

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple blood test can find tiny bits of cancer DNA left in the body after lung cancer surgery. People whose blood shows these cancer signals will get extra treatment (chemotherapy and immunotherapy) to try to stop the cancer from coming back. The goal is to see if this approach helps people stay cancer-free longer. About 66 adults with early-stage lung cancer who have had complete surgery will take part.
