Blood test may catch lung cancer return early, study hopes to stop it

NCT ID NCT04966663

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple blood test can find tiny bits of cancer DNA left after lung cancer surgery. If the test shows cancer might come back, patients get extra treatment to try to stop it. The goal is to see if this approach can keep cancer away longer. About 66 people with early-stage lung cancer will take part.
