New drug duo aims to outsmart advanced lung cancer

Summary
This study is testing if adding a drug called ramucirumab to a standard targeted therapy (osimertinib) works better for controlling advanced lung cancer with a specific genetic change (EGFR mutation). It will involve about 160 adults who have not yet taken this type of targeted drug. The main goal is to see if the two-drug combination can delay cancer growth longer than the single drug alone.
