First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested whether a medication (polyethylene glycol loxenatide) combined with a hormone-releasing IUD (LNG-IUS) can better treat atypical endometrial hyperplasia, a precancerous condition of the uterine lining. The 30 participants were women with obesity who wanted to preserve their fertility or keep their uterus. The main goal was to see if the combination led to a complete disappearance of abnormal cells after 32 weeks.
