Daily rinse tested to ease embarrassing bowel troubles
NCT ID NCT05773742
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily, low-volume irrigation (a gentle rectal rinse) can improve bowel function for people with fecal incontinence (accidental bowel leakage) and/or chronic constipation. About 92 adults will use a specific device daily for six weeks to see if it helps control symptoms and improves their daily life and quality of life. Researchers will track how well it works, how easy it is to use, any side effects, and whether people continue using it.
