First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a low FODMAP diet can ease symptoms and improve quality of life for people with moderate to severe irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) who do not have lactose malabsorption. Researchers will compare results to a lactose-free diet from a previous study. About 60 adults aged 18-75 with Rome IV IBS will participate.
