Summary
This study tested whether giving low doses of two steroids (hydrocortisone and fludrocortisone) helps adults with cardiogenic shock, a life-threatening condition where the heart can't pump enough blood. Researchers measured how many days patients were alive and off strong heart-supporting drugs within the first week. The trial involved 380 participants and compared the steroids to a placebo.
