NCT ID NCT06291675

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study follows transgender men and women who have been on gender-affirming hormone therapy for two years to see how it affects their heart, liver, and pancreas over the next decade. Researchers will use MRI scans, blood tests, and questionnaires to track changes in heart function, fat levels, and mental health. The goal is to understand the mid- to long-term health impacts of hormone therapy, which most studies have only looked at short-term.
