First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 36 times
Summary
This study examined 328 children who either survived Ebola or were close contacts, to understand long-term brain and nerve problems. Researchers tested memory, thinking, and physical abilities, and checked for symptoms like headaches or tremors more than 5 years after infection. The goal was to learn how Ebola affects the brain over time, not to provide a treatment.
