Brain-Wave tracking during child surgery may predict behavior years later
NCT ID NCT07473024
First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a special brain monitor during children's surgery can help prevent behavior problems up to two years later. Researchers will compare kids who had brain-guided anesthesia with those who had standard care. About 230 children aged 3-10 who had surgery will be contacted by phone. The goal is to understand long-term effects, not to test a new treatment.
