Summary
This study tests whether freezing cancerous tissue with liquid nitrogen before chemotherapy can improve outcomes for people with advanced esophageal cancer. About 40 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either the freezing treatment plus chemo or chemo alone. The freezing is done during an endoscopy and aims to kill cancer cells. The study lasts about 4 months and focuses on whether the cancer disappears completely after treatment.
