Freeze first? new trial tests cryo before chemo for esophageal cancer

Summary
This study tests whether freezing esophageal cancer tumors with liquid nitrogen before chemotherapy improves treatment. About 40 adults with advanced esophageal cancer will be randomly assigned to receive either cryotherapy plus chemo or chemo alone. The goal is to see if the freezing step leads to better tumor clearance. Participation lasts about 4 months.
