Summary

This study compared two different methods for managing bleeding during liver transplant surgery. Researchers tested whether using a specialized blood test (called ROTEM) during surgery would reduce the need for blood transfusions compared to standard blood tests. The trial involved 82 adult patients undergoing liver transplants at a hospital in France.
