New injection aims to stop Cancer's return after liver surgery
NCT ID NCT05677113
Summary
This study is testing whether a medication called QBECO, given as injections before and after surgery to remove colorectal cancer that has spread to the liver, can help prevent the cancer from coming back. About 115 patients will receive either QBECO or a placebo (dummy injection) and will be followed for up to 5 years to see if the treatment improves survival without cancer progression. The main goal is to see if this approach is better than the current standard of care, which does not typically involve medication around the time of this surgery.
