Researchers track hidden liver damage in HIV patients

NCT ID NCT06940375

Summary

This study aims to understand and predict the risk of fatty liver disease and liver scarring in people living with HIV. Researchers will follow 320 HIV-positive participants for five years, using special scans and blood tests to track liver health. The goal is to create better tools to identify which patients are most likely to develop serious liver problems, allowing for earlier intervention.
