New blood test could predict deadly liver complications years in advance

NCT ID NCT07185360

Summary

This study aims to develop new blood tests that can predict which patients with early-stage liver scarring (cirrhosis) are at highest risk of developing liver failure or liver cancer. Researchers will analyze tiny particles in the blood called extracellular vesicles, along with other markers, to create these prediction tools. The goal is to help doctors better monitor patients and decide who needs more intensive care.
