New blood test could predict deadly liver failure before it happens
NCT ID NCT07185360
Summary
This study aims to develop two new blood tests to help doctors better predict the future health of people with liver cirrhosis. Researchers will study tiny particles in the blood, called extracellular vesicles, to see if they can forecast which patients are at high risk of their liver failing or developing liver cancer. The goal is to create tools that allow for more personalized care, directing high-risk patients to specialized centers while safely managing low-risk patients locally.
