NCT ID NCT07222657

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether freezing cancer cells with liquid nitrogen before chemotherapy can improve outcomes for people with advanced esophageal cancer. About 40 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either the freezing treatment plus chemotherapy or chemotherapy alone. The freezing is done during an endoscopy and aims to destroy tumor tissue, potentially leading to better response rates.
