Summary
This study tested whether using a liquid biopsy (a blood test that looks for cancer DNA) early in the diagnosis process could speed up care for people with advanced lung or gastrointestinal cancer. Researchers compared the timing of diagnosis and treatment recommendations between patients who received the liquid biopsy plus standard care and those who received only standard care. The study involved 463 participants and has been completed.
