First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looked at whether using a blood test (liquid biopsy) early in the diagnosis process could help doctors decide on cancer treatment faster for people with advanced lung or stomach/bowel cancer. About 463 people took part. The blood test was compared to the usual method of taking a tissue sample. The main goal was to see how quickly a full diagnosis could be made.
