Summary
This study looked at 40 adults to see if high levels of lipoprotein (a), a fatty substance in the blood, affect the number of stem cells that repair blood vessels. Researchers compared people with high and normal levels of this substance. The goal was to better understand how lipoprotein (a) might increase heart disease risk.
