Summary
This study examined whether people with high levels of lipoprotein (a), a type of fat in the blood, have different amounts of stem cells that help repair blood vessels. Researchers compared blood samples from 40 adults with high Lp(a) (≥100 nmol/L) to those with normal levels. The goal was to better understand how Lp(a) might contribute to heart disease.
