Summary
This study looks at how lipedema, a condition where fat builds up in the legs, affects knee osteoarthritis. Researchers will compare 76 women with knee arthritis—some with lipedema and some without—using ultrasound to measure cartilage thickness and questionnaires to assess pain and daily function. The goal is to understand if lipedema independently worsens arthritis, which could lead to earlier diagnosis and better treatment plans.
