New combo therapy aims to beat deadly staph infections

Summary
This study tests whether adding the antibiotic linezolid to standard treatment helps people with serious staph infections in the blood. About 606 hospitalized adults will be randomly assigned to receive either standard antibiotics alone or standard antibiotics plus linezolid. The goal is to see if the combination improves survival, recovery, and reduces complications.
