NCT ID NCT06726395

First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether a common penicillin (benzylpenicillin) works better than another antibiotic (cloxacillin) for treating a type of staph blood infection that is sensitive to penicillin. About 420 adults will take one of the two drugs, and researchers will track who survives without complications for 90 days. The goal is to find the safest and most effective treatment for this serious infection.
