Summary
This study is testing whether daily light therapy, called photobiomodulation, can prevent severe mouth sores in patients undergoing a stem cell transplant. The trial will compare three different ways of applying the light therapy: inside the mouth, outside on the face, or a combination of both. Researchers aim to find the most effective method to reduce this painful side effect for 78 patients at multiple hospitals.
