First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving levothyroxine (a thyroid hormone medication) to children aged 4-15 with mild underactive thyroid (subclinical hypothyroidism) can improve how well their hearts pump blood. Researchers will measure heart function before and after treatment in 40 children. The goal is to see if treating even mild thyroid issues can protect heart health.
