First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether a drug called leronlimab is safe for people with Alzheimer's disease or mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer's. It also looks at whether the drug can reduce inflammation in the brain. Twenty volunteers aged 50 and older will receive weekly injections for 12 weeks and undergo brain scans, lab tests, and thinking assessments. The goal is to gather safety data and early signs of effect on brain inflammation, which could lead to larger studies on slowing cognitive decline.
