First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding leflunomide to the standard drug methotrexate helps children with severe, hard-to-treat arthritis. Fifty children were split into two groups: one received both drugs, the other only methotrexate. Researchers tracked joint pain, swelling, and daily function over 24 weeks to see if the combination worked better.
