First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests a new type of shoe (LEEF-shoe) designed to prevent foot ulcers in people with diabetes and nerve damage. About 30 adults will wear both the new shoe and standard orthopedic shoes for several weeks to compare foot pressure, comfort, and how often they wear them. The goal is to see if the LEEF-shoe works as well or better than current custom shoes while being easier to make and more appealing to wear.
