First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests a new, non-invasive imaging device called LC-OCT that takes detailed pictures of skin cancer before surgery. The goal is to see if it can help doctors better identify where the cancer ends, so they can remove it all in one go. About 60 adults with a common type of skin cancer (basal cell carcinoma) will be scanned before their Mohs surgery, and researchers will check if the images are clear enough to guide the procedure.
