Can a whiff of lavender calm your pain?
NCT ID NCT07305493
Summary
This study tested whether inhaling lavender essential oil could help reduce anxiety and pain as a complementary therapy. 68 participants with moderate to severe pain were randomly assigned to inhale either diluted lavender oil or plain water (a placebo) for 30 minutes. Researchers measured changes in anxiety and pain scores before and after the session to see if the lavender scent provided relief.
