Can a whiff of lavender calm your pain and anxiety?

NCT ID NCT07305493

Summary

This study tested whether inhaling lavender essential oil could help reduce anxiety and pain as a complementary therapy. Researchers compared 68 patients with moderate to severe pain who either inhaled diluted lavender oil or plain water for 30 minutes. They measured changes in anxiety and pain scores using standard questionnaires before and after the session to see if the lavender scent made a difference.
