First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This pilot study tested a 4-week laughter yoga program (8 sessions) in 45 adolescents with mild to moderate intellectual or physical disabilities at a special school in Hong Kong. Half did laughter yoga, half got usual care. The goal was to see if laughter yoga could improve mood, reduce anxiety, and lessen loneliness. Results are not yet reported, but the approach is simple and non-invasive.
