Race against time: new hope for stroke patients who miss the usual window

NCT ID NCT07115940

Summary

This trial is testing whether adding a minimally invasive procedure to remove a blood clot (endovascular thrombectomy) to standard medical care helps stroke patients who arrive at the hospital 24 to 72 hours after their symptoms start. It will compare this combined approach to medical care alone in about 408 adults. The main goal is to see if patients who get the procedure have better recovery and independence 90 days later.
