First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study compares two ways to clean infected root canals during a single dental visit: laser-activated irrigation versus sonic-activated irrigation. Sixty adults with chronic tooth infections needing a root canal revision will be randomly assigned to one method. Researchers will measure pain over 7 days, bacteria removal, and healing of the jawbone infection after one year using 3D scans.
