First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at whether low-level laser therapy can reduce muscle tightness (spasticity) in the ankle and foot and improve walking for people who had a stroke at least a year ago. 18 participants received either laser plus standard physical therapy or physical therapy alone for three weeks. Results suggest the laser group had greater improvements in muscle stiffness and walking quality.
