NCT ID NCT02604329
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested whether a low-level laser treatment is practical for children with mouth sores caused by chemotherapy or radiation. The sores, called oral mucositis, can be very painful. The study included 22 children and aimed to see if the laser could be applied at least three times in the first week of a sore episode. The goal was to prepare for a larger study to see if the laser actually helps healing and reduces pain.
